Helping a Hero

The Lee Greenwood Patriot Award was established to honor leaders who support America’s veterans and military.  Prior to receiving the award, Mary performed her rousing arrangement of the American National Anthem. “There is no greater honor than to perform supporting America’s heroes and especially our wounded warriors. I follow in the footsteps of my friend Lee Greenwood, a faithful supporter of our brave and courageous wounded warriors. Lee’s passion for America, our military, our veterans, and our wounded warriors is contagious, and his music for decades has united us across America to always honor America’s heroes.” As Mary approaches the 20-year mark as a global singer/actress, she has dedicated her career to elevating patriotism in America and across the world. Mary's mandate is to remember, honor, and pay tribute to the courageous men and men in uniform, our active U.S. troops, veterans, fallen soldiers, Gold Star families, and military spouses who have and continue to sacrifice for our freedoms.

It is a career spanning close to 15 years of singing sacred words, unifying America, honoring God and America’s heroes, and promoting freedom.

Prior to performing, Mary was interviewed by FOX & Friends Weekend hosts Rachel Campos-Duffy, Will Cain, and Pete Hegseth about performing the National Anthem for so many years and the importance of the moment.

“The National Anthem moment is our country’s moment of unity. You get people from all walks of life and different places, you put them in a stadium or room and in one moment, which is the National Anthem moment, everyone is unified, all hearts and souls. There are no differences. Just one people, honoring God, America, those who have sacrificed for our freedom, and reflecting on the beauty of the American dream.  I thank the FOX News Corporation for the invitation to perform and celebrate our beloved National Anthem.”
